- Scotland -
Waiting for better weather the next day I drove along Glenfinnan, on the road to the islands, between Fort William and Mallaig.
As the road begins to climb out of the River Finnan valley it passes what must be one of the best located churches in Scotland. The Roman Catholic Church of St Mary and St Finnan is a large Gothic building with stunning views down Loch Shiel.
But the weather condition was giving a sad grey and hazy view.

I have a personal affinity for chapels... find them to be more down to earth and condusive to finding peace. This one is soooo beautiful... would love to visit there for a spell.
