BIO
I went to Edinburgh College of Art in the seventies. I wove tapestries for years and paint in oils. I like photography, learning classical guitar and lacemaking. I enjoy cycling, walking, reading, films.

I wonder why, Rozanne. There are more trees than I would have expected from the Lake District that I have seen on TV. I have never visited it. I have only passed by, on the train, so have only seen the huge numbers of hikers getting on and off; that and the ever present drizzle! I loved the Richard Adams book PLAGUE DOGS, which described the area, towards the sea. Regards, John.

Missed this one the other day. Ah...Memories of school holidays when I worked on the rowing boats down at Bowness-on-Windermere. Even better when you get to the top of the hill and carry on down the other side to Troutbeck. Great shot. Steve : Scotland
