Description

Again an image from my "icy crust" series. It's from the same location I took icy crust #2 so actually it has the same soft green background. This time I've changed the shot in B/W... does it work better? What do you think? tfv&c Thanks for your kind comments, rankings and even votes on my previous posting Lil clown I really appreciate all of them very much! Thanks also from my son... you've made his day! :o) Hugz Monika -----www.rowografics.de----- -----www.photo-genesis.net----- -----www.mahltied.com-----

I think it looks great in black and white the textures are highlighted more without the distraction of colour, great shot

this is stunning in b/w and composition is perfect. as much as i love this, i do so much enjoy the soft green DOF in your other image, but that's such a personal choice. i love how these stand with their arms wide open, as if to embrace!!! a very touching image, Monika! vote!

Both variants are very beautiful, but the B/W photos - generaly speaking - are more powerful in transmission of messages, because of tonalities/light/shadows playing-games. Superb image! V

switch window switch window switch window switch window switch window OK, difficult to compare them bith, but to be honest, I like the first one more than the latter one, because the green causes somehow better contrast than this one. But nevertheless this one is a great one too with a beautiful composition!

The B&W photo works in my opinion better, but I think that's mere a matter of taste. Nevertheless again another excellent shot! Mhak, Tjeerd.
