She didn't reply, too stunned to be send away, too hurt that he would want her to leave, him, her home... everything she had known for a lifetime. Gently, he cupped her face in his strong hands. "You will be safe, my beloved... if you leave now. Our race must survive! Do not fear... someone will guide and guard you on your perilous journey. Listen to him carefully and do as he tells you! Now do not delay... go!" As she slowly woke up, his voice faded away in the morning mist. "I will always be with you... with... you..."
