Welcome to the home of Meshbox Design on Renderosity!
Meshbox Design has been producing 3d content for multiple platforms beginning on 2002. Our world famous Toon Santa for Poser became world famous when it became the 3D "Santa Cam" Santa for the NORAD Tracks Santa program in 2006. Meshbox Design is one of the longest term corporate sponsors of the program. NORAD Tracks Santa goes live every December, and then on December 24, our NORAD Santa flies around the world in real time on the website. Another beautiful model :) Halfling relegion: J.R.R. Tolkein was I believe of christian faith, and he brought mono-theism into his fantasy world. The God of Middle Earth is a single entity, Eru, God, The One, and Illuvitar have been his designations according to The Silmarillion. God created a host of angels, of two strengths, lesser and greater, collectively called the Ainur, with the Greater called the Valar. God conducted the Ainur in a great song, which created the known world and middle earth out of the void. Then those angels, both greater and lesser that desired it, went down to Middle earth to labor on its shape and form and govern its affairs. The men of middle earth often mistook these angels for poly-theistic sytled gods, but the elves understood thier true nature, being immortal themselves, and having the option to go "west over sea" and physically join them on thier island realm and live and serve among them. They gave this correct learning to the high men, and the hobbits. The dwarves always knew of the truth due to thier direct creation by Aule (or Matal as they call him) one of the 14 ruling Valar who became impatient for the awakening of the elves and wished to emulate his father (Illuvatar). The original enemy, Melkor, or Morgoth, was one of the 14 original ruling Valar who turned to evil. Sauron, his servant and the enemy of the trilogy, and Galdalf, Saruman, and the other 3 wizards, were all angels of the lesser order, The wizards being sent to middle earth from the Outtermost West from the ruling Valar, to contest the might of the rebel ainur Sauron. Hope this helps :)

Cool! Well, I guess this church could have a lot of different gods. It would be easy enough to customize the symbol to fit almost any religion. I dont think halflings would spend much time worshiping an extremely violent or energetic god.

very nicely done !

Beautiful model with fantastic textures. I like the detail of the circular doors that match the stories. I thought the hobbits built their homes and buildings into the earth? I picture their churches more circular I guess.

Excellent model & texturing! Will we be seeing this in the RMP soon (I hope!)? Logansfury hit the nail right on the head - having read The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings trilogy 53 times, and The Silmarillion 26 times since I was 12 (I'm a bit older now...), I must say that he gave a very accurate and descriptive answer. The only difference I would suggest is that it was called the "Uttermost West" rather than the "Outtermost," I think. Excellent work!

Nice little model. :-)

Whats a Halfling anywho? (is this a dumb question) Nice work!

Its a way to say "hobbit" without Tolkein license properties sending jack-booted lawyers to shake you down for an IP violation.
