Description
"Yesterday, December 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked..."
"With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounded determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph..."
-December 8th, 1941. Franklin Delano Roosevelt
At approximately 8:10 am, the USS Arizona exploded, having been hit by a 1,760 pound armor-piercing bomb that slammed through her deck and ignited her forward ammunition magazine. In less than nine minutes, she sank with 1,177 of her crew, a total loss.

For all those who have served. Thanks

Having been to the Arizoa Memorial, I found it amazing how, even when crowded, it's still quiet. The Wall of Names is also a solemn place, where you can't help but feel the loss of those who died there. But the thing that makes you proud is that from where the Arizona's flagpole is, they have secured another to it. So even in death she holds the colors proudly. Good on ya JustinCase. Good pic.
