Description

This is Lafayette,La. Not New Orleans MARDI GRAS. I been there all day took some photos so the next few days I be posting more photes on MARDI GRAS here in Lafayette. And no I did not see women flashing or men[thank God]. This is much of the same you see all day here. People yelling "Thow me something" They was throwing and flots passing by and the people on the flots be thowing mostly beads or coins that say you can rent 2 movies and the 3th one is free. sometimes plaste cups. thanks for looking and comments and votes.

they say about 100,000 people come to Lafayetty La. for MARDI GRAS [so the news say; i beleive that this is just a small part of about 5 miles route]

many years ago Al Hirt got hit in the head with a brick at Mardi Gra and almost lost the ability to play his trumpet. excellent shot Jock, too many peopl for me. I can imagine how it is in New Orleans

You're at college and those folks know a wiser way to party. The great universities of France spawned a medieval doctor. The hi-jinx and picaresque antics of the medical students posing as grave robbers to get corpses for anatomy class led to artists painting nudes. Faire is faire.
