Description
The second innermost of Jupiter's large Galliean satellites, Europa sports a convoluted surface of fissures and ridges. The crescent of the immense gas giant planet looms above the horizon and the inner moon Io is surrounded by a halo of material ejected by its active sulfur volcanoes.
Jupiter is from an actual image obtained from the Cassini mission, and Io was paintbrushed in by me. Please forgive my artistic license on that.
