Description

This is a picture that my wife, MistDragon, asked me to do to show that even someone with little to no artistic ability whatsoever (and absolutely no talent with Poser or Photoshop) can make a picture with interesting hair with her "Hair Construction Kit" - Due out soon! Oh, I'm also to mention that this is my first time using Poser or Photoshop in any meaningful way. Here is a link to the tutorial that I used: http://misty.ath.cx/HK1_tut/tutorial.html I based it off of my Neverwinter Nights character from a Wheel of Time setting, who is part of the Defenders of the Flame. She's thusfar the only female character in the group (and is a female because of character conception, the rest of my characters are male ;) ), and I thought that it would be neat to try to bring her into this form. As a side note, if you are into the Wheel of Time and have Neverwinter Nights, the guild site is: http://nwn.bioware.com/guilds_registry/viewguild.html?gid=3103 And I will of course link to MistDragon who offered insight and opinion while managing to not touch the picture in any artistic way (except texturing the shield). People who know her may not realize it, but this is quite the feat ;) http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Yes&Artist=MistDragon Oh, and I got to use her unreleased figure... Woohaa! :) Shield is Freestuff (I don't remember who, sorry :( )

That tower just makes the image explode and the armor with that shield is cool!

Being your first render with Poser, it's quite good. The background image adds a lot of atmosphere but I think that for the character to go with the background you should have used a reddish lighting.

Now way! That is pretty awesome. You DON'T want to see my first render. No WAY. And I'm sooo excited! About three weeks ago, I bought Neverwinter Nights Platinum and I've been SO LOST IN THERE ever since! I took down the address and I'll see if I venture in there. If you see Nienna Anwaman that would be me ;o) Please say hi! and don't kill me LOL

Thank you everyone who posted a comment, they are very generous. I will be reworking her hair at some point using MD's new hair kit that she redid (partly due to feedback from those of us who tested it), so I will repost that if/when I finish it.
