Description
Mauna Kea which means "White Mountain" has many trails with ornamental tree's below the 9,000 ft level. On the upper slopes, the altitude is high, the air is thin and the walk is refreshing. I'm looking down from Lake Waiau Landscape and headed down hill to warmer climate. Thank you for following me to the top of this mountain and thank you for all the beautiful comments. Aloha

From the thumbnail I thought it was an island near one of the poles, but as I begin to view this image, (also read what you've said) I see we are up on a mountain and the land beneath is not the sea. Where the heck did my comment go?!? Ahh, well again! Great photo. It is quite a view from up there. If it wasn't for the thin air and cold, I'd love to have a cabin on that very spot. Super composition in the photo, and the rain squalls are a neat detail.
