Description

Sossy and TVernuccio posted terrific street lamp pics... thought I'd join in by adding one from the archives I shot in a church parking lot. It has cute girl/boy statues that give it sort of a Valentine's feel. A bit darkish, but I sort of liked the pseudo-silhouette effect. The sun was in my face and I had to lay in the mud to get it (that's a cheap attempt for sympathy... did it work?). Production Notes. 1. Sony f828, 8mp, size reduced to 20% of original 2. PSP9 ... minimal post work, frame and signature. Thanks for viewing folks.

Awwwwww, how sweet, Jim!!!! This is a perfect Valentine's image!!! Have you read "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis? In this first book there's a chapter about a lightpost. I read this series twice as a young adult and am rereading it again. i think that's why i love lightposts so much, and this image makes me verrrrrry happy! and it's so fitting for the Narnia series as the main characters are a little boy and girl! the image is a perfect pic, and you captured so much charm and sweetness in this one! and i luv it personally because it reminds me so much of all the adventures in Narnia! Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Jim!!!!! vote/favs!

Like the nostalgic atmosphere the statues add to the image with the lamplight...she appears to be tickling the younger boy on the chin, or is that just my playful imagination tonight! []/;^)
