Description

1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible. These Chevys are fondly called the Bat Winged Chevys because of the appearance of their rear fins when viewed from rear of the car....

My brother bought one of these but it was a hardtop in 1959 as his first new car. I was impressed at the time but got to where I did not like the style. but now I do. excellent capture

I like that "selective blurring/sharpness" you've done on this image. A great idea & it adds a cool effect to the photo.

It's interesting to juxtapose this car between nearly 50 years before the first Chevy as a Little in 1911 and today's Impala. Each is just transportataion in it's own era but an art form when viewed in retrospect. A tiny piece of the Mesabe range morphed into a sculpture.

Too big for our Streets Mate!!! Still I'd like to drive it around our town just for the stares. Excellent work, particularly the way in which you have emphasised the car vs. the background! Have a Good and I hope warmer Weekend. I've got my first Art & Craft Fair of the year on Sunday so I am hoping that the weather will be kind to us! Cheers! Alan

Oh boy was it hard to change the rear tires on that baby when it had a flat. But the car is just beautiful and so well kept.
