This is an attempt to make a render look like a painting as well as learning more about lighs & shadows. Credits: buildings by zippy, well by helen d, lantern from rnda freestuff barrel from renderosity free stuff. Lighing, ground, sometextures and painting by me. Very kewl view. I like the textures very much. The roofs maybe a little more bump, but besides that the light is just perfect. NIce work.

Yes, this is a very interesting image. It has a nice marker pen quality about it. The roofs are a good complimentary colour. There's something not quite right about the perspective. Try a slightly higher camera angle or the perspective correction tool in an edit program.
