Description

On September 11, 2001 a Nation watched, in silent and helpless horror, the course of our lives forever be diverted. The flash of fire in the sky, was repeated on our screens and etched into our minds, leaving an indelible scar on our hearts. We met the survivors, lived, wept, loved with them, each reaching us in places we never dared expose before...and yet we watched, unable to avert our eyes. Loyalty kept us riveted to the horror. We needed to watch, because we needed to suffer, just as they did almost as if that would somehow justify all this pain. We assumed every victim as a member of our own, in mourning and grief. We wept, clinging to one another, searching for a comfort we would not soon find. Our eyes searched one another, asking, always asking...why? We met the heroes borne of this infamy. We saw that beyond it all, we can still be saved, we are still worth saving...and then we raged.

Sorry, forgot to add credits: Kendo's Toga on angel. Wings, hair, clothing, flag dress done postwork in Photoshop (wish I had seen the wonderful texture for Phil C's wrap before I did this...that flag took me forever), Trade Center was a freebie found here on R-osity.
