Description
This is AShley my niece
Our little dancer in the family
Because she loved my dad so much
and he her I thought
I would dedicate this to her
Also she wrote a note to him
as my sister chose not to have her come
to the wake
I read it at his funeral
and if you ever have to break
the silence or the sadness
well this one did it:
I will try to remember
most of it as well as I can'
one line I have never forgotten
as you will see;
just to understand a little better
ashley was adopted as a infant
by sister lari and robbie,thats even more special that my dad loved her
she is petite and cute what male wouldn't the sad thing is she never met my mom and as you read the note she wrote
you will understand
why she calls my mom by her last name
and refers to her as your wife:

Dear Papa,I am going to miss you a lot
and I will try not to be too sad
You try too,I know when you see your wife
Mrs Howell you will be happy,
but remember no hanky panky papa
(The whole place giggled)
she wrote this at age eight
she is now 12 I wonder what she wil think when she comes and looks in lol:

My father is still alive so I can only understand this through the hearts of some who made unsettled demands on me. I have met the military loss on my own. He is the one who knows and fights you.

Oh I agree What a sweet dedication Evie, and give her a hug and best wishes from me okay??????? I lost my dad in 1983 and think of him everyday, he spoiled me rotten LOL guess cuz I was an only child and was always sick, with the hole in my heart, they treated me like I was a lil princess......Heavens I miss him but can still see those sparkling blue eyes and hear him almost jingling the change in his pants pockets, now have gotten that close or closer to mom.....she got in another Nsg Home today much nicer than the other one a Private Room she did good until we left then the tears rolled & so did mine, god love her little heart...Be glad when the therapy starts Mon so she can soon get better and come home And like Dave said also it does look like she is reaching up to heaven Lots of love n hugs Vote Susan~
