"Why can't birds come to me like they do to you?" he asked. "When they feel safe with you then they will come to you," she said. The boy as about to ask another question when he heard his Mother call him for lunch. "I have to go!" he said. "I'll be here," she said. The boy was about to run to the house when he turned and said, "My Father says that you don't exist!". "I knew your Father when he was your age. When you grow up you will forget as he has." "Not me, I'll remember, promise!!!" the boy said and ran toward the house. The fairy only smiled and said to the bird, "They always promise to remember but they grow up and forget. Forget that there is more to this world that what they can see or know."
