Hi, I'm Dave :^)
I've learned that Art is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration! I started CGA as a hobby early 2004. This site is huge, so if you have seen any of my material, then thank you for taking the time.
BIO:I'm a widowed Electronics and Software design Engineer living in Southern California, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
My late wife Robin.. passed in 2003 after 31 wonderfully married years, the last 7 of which Robin was in poor health. I miss my Babe so much...
I'm working with Poser5, Bryce5.5, Wings3D, PSP-10 and CorelPaint8.My mother (Elnor) is also on this site as Silkylady. If you get a chance, please drop by her gallery and see her work.
Finally, remember these words of wisdom:
1) Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff.2) If your only tool is a hammer then all your problems will look like nails.3) It's amazing what can be accomplished when one doesn't know what one can't do.4) Very few know how much one must know in order to know how little one really knows.5) Give a man fire and you heat him for awhile. Set a man on fire and he is heated for life.6) Complexity is a set of things that we figured how to do right, one built on top of the other, until failure is achieved.7) Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.8) Marriage is a place where you can be wrong in ways you never thought possible.9) If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him.. is he still wrong?10) If at first you don't succeed, then cover up all previous attempts that failed.
Please enjoy your visit! Dave :^)(AKA: 'davidoblad','DLO')

Beautiful tribute of your everlasting love to Robin!! I read one of your comments in A KISS and you said that you wish your last kiss would have been more then just a peck, and it would have been if you had any clue it was going to be her last kiss. She was a very kind and loving wife with a heart of gold, and never had a bad word to say about anyone, anytime. I can picture you playing Robin's theme by the same lights, through an open window, because she can feel and hear your love in every key. A tremendous loss for us all Dave. Much love to everyone today and forever, Ken.

Thanks everyone. Ken's comment got me all teary. The picture of Robin, above, was her high school graduation photo, taken a few years before we married. I was two grades ahead of her. Love Dave :^)

Such beautiful words coming from a healing heart. Life deals us a strange hand sometimes. Often, we don't or may never understand the meanings behind some of our tragic times. You had Robin with you for over 30 years. Bless that time together and cherish the small things. As we grow up and older together, we know that one day it will be our turn to have our loved ones mourn us in time. I can only tell you to remember the happy days. That certain look she may have had when she was happy, the days spent in total bliss, for no other reason, just because. If you believe that life is ongoing, that this earthly plane of existing is not all there is, then rest easy, for one day you will see your Robin again. I can feel your pain, I shed a tear for you, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy. I am pretty sure your wife would want it that way. Sometimes its hard to walk away with just memories, but we can find solice in those sweet memories. Remember her always and she will never be far from your heart.....Karen
