Description

There is a story behind THE ROSE. In the year of 1935 my grandfather grew a rose bush in his garden. My Dad took a tuber from the bush in 1960 for his garden. Every June the bush blooms with an abundance of roses. I choose to capture the true essence of the rose in my favourite medium black and white. Your comments on my recent photos are greatly received and appreciated. Thankyou

Interesting story. Nice photo as well! You should try out a little black frame around it, see how that works. Great job!!!

Not only is the story behind thiis rose interesting, but so is the image. The tonal range in this B&W and composition are on the mark. I would agree that a frame helps to set off the image and renders it complete.
