Description

- Scotland - It started to get dark and so this is the last shot of this day. Passing a dreamy place with an old fisherhouse. Couldn't resist to catch this moody scene to share with you. I don't need a manor to live in. This small house would be enough for me and I imagined to live there in peace. Would you visit me? ;o) Thanks for your interest and I love all your kind comments! ;o)))

A great discovery, Rita. There are not many thatched cottages in Scotland. This one is set low on the ground. It probably has a sunken floor, and a low ceiling inside. It looks quite weatherproof, so it will be free of drafts! The rough tussocks of grass suggest that the ground is perhaps damp and salty, and that the wind is quite strong there. The trees are old and mighty, but I would not want them to be blown by a gale onto the cottage! Strong black tea, drop pancakes, leek and potato soup, blackcurrant jam on home made scones, will all be on the menu. Oh and I shall look out for the black kitten sitting on the old black padded ottoman across from the peat burning stove. I will try not to sit on her. Thanks for the invitation, John.

Another outstanding photo, I thought it was a large rock at first until I saw the windows, reminds me of some I saw in Ireland, looks a wonderfully tranquil place :)
