She was nursing a drink for an hour and a half, having rebuffed each guy that had approached her. Now it was late, or maybe is was just early. Kinda depended. There were two bug-eyed Chulapa's edging toward her from where they'd been scoping her out at the end of the bar. She looked like she was somewhere between being a nice girl and one that may have killed someone before coming into this place. From my corner table, I just watched. She started looking around and tried not to appear as if she were looking at me, but she was. With a sigh, I prepared myself to be rejected and finished my beer. I walked over and the Chulapas tensed, as if I were invading their hunt. Sitting on the corner seat where I could see the bug-eyes and the lady, I smiled and told her that she looked like she was waiting for a nice guy to come along. "Why, are you a nice guy?" she said with a great deal of sracasm. "Me? Heck no. I just figured I'd interfere with your admirer's plans." nodding toward the Chulapas. They growled and started walking over. I sat up, drew my jacket back, far enough to expose the butt of my plasma cutter. They stopped and slunked back to their bottles, mumbling. "They tend to fight with one another over any percieved quarry. Could get awkward." "And so you're rescuing me?" she asked with an arched eyebrow. I shrugged. She had one green eye and one blue and I kept looking back and forth trying to decide which I liked better. We talked for hours and didn't say much. We decided to leave and go find breakfast somewhere. When I asked her where she was from, she said, "Libex-4". I stopped dead in my tracks. "Uh, That's the world with the plague-ridden flesh-eating vampire zombie clones?" She looked up at me with her sweet sharp-tooth grin and said, "No, I think that's Libex-3." "Ohhh, OK. I could have sworn it was Libex-4. Hmmm." I scratched my head and watched her walk on, admiring how well that little black dress fit her. Hurrying, I caught up with her. *** First pic with Aiko3.
