Description

Xenodream 1.5, no pp, PS6 for frame and background Thank you so much for viewing and all of your comments!! Dirk Finaly, my first few hours without a fever, feel like I'm reborn... I must be some kind of a nut, but I always enjoy the places my mind wanders to, when I have very high fever. It is never scary, but a strange, abstract world where everything seems to make sense in a weird kind of way. And I like it when the mind playes games with the feelings towards my body. There always comes a point, ever since I was a child, that my skin seems to retract towards my bones, and I can feel only my own skeleton. I know that this might sound horrible, but somehow it feels very comfortable. Touching my body with fingers that feel like matchsticks. Anyway, these 3 images are a reflection on these sensations. Hope you enjoy them!

I like these. Actually, considering the story you tell, they're the sort of things that - if you had the software and the patience - would make an interesting animation.

Fascinating. Great textures and very cryptic ideograms!

I like all three of these images. The texture is like burlap fabric. Interesting designs on each one. I was interested in the strange sensations you experienced while under the influence of a fever. Kind of a strange physiological trip not usually expressed by anyone I've taken care of.

All three are VERY cool, Dirk. I like the textures, especially. I like "Cycle 1" the best for the center of it. I'm glad you are feeling better!

Yep, that does sound kind of icky, but interesting in another way. Kind of neat how you can express those sensations through fractal design. Very clever work and a great and interesting design too!

Very unusual works. They remind me of sand art. The colors 'n' textures are lovely. It's good you have the knowledge of art to get it down into images this way. V (:

I did look at this series yesterday, several times in fact, but did not quite know what to say. I'm still not real sure but I must say that it is very impressive. The openning of the aperture could represent that state of regaining consciousness for ever increasing periods of time as one starts recovering, light and clarity entering the brain, which is not quite ready for it. Certainly a complex puzzle, pieces moving in mysterious ways, when one returns to normal the meaning is lost. Great images, great ideas!

actually i have some sense of what you mean - the mind can transcend the physical - but i love the weight of heavy blankets as well - i think they help take away the sensation of the extremities - almost sand dollar like images

Excellent creation. Mystical, and as in all mystic experiences, the intensity of the moment is like 3D...layers of reality experienced intensly. Sadly, the intensity of the experience is very personal and slowly fades, except a perception of a different level of understanding. A riddle that one cannot solve without the experience. This is a fascinating way to express your experience, Dirk.
