Where did you find them? Very fine work here - the trash is sad - these gentle creatures; well done.

XLT work. I love manatees..they are so gentle & sweet. When I was in Florida, staying in a home along the St.Johns river...there was a family of them with a nest in the reeds for a mom who was getting ready to birth. I was sitting on the dock & one came up & started playing & allowed me to touch it :)....One of the most serene moments in my life. They are lovely creatures, with very soulful eyes.

I really like this one, great use of underwater pespective, pretty gooda tmosphere for it. I have some pointers for you, if you want them: Try looking at the shape of the terrain (rock wall) on the left side of the picture. It seems to form that sort of cave, but the way it interacts with the light it kind of throws the balance off of the image. The top is excellent, but the bottom is too dark. Try making it like the top the whole way through. The rocks seem to be flat on the bottom and just put there (The smaller ones), rather than actually in the water. You lose focus on the image, adn they and the barrel are standing out. What I'd suggest you do here is take a terrain with the same texture as the ground. and put it just below the rocks, a small terrain for each one. This would make it appear to be put in there, and give a greater sense of imbalance, rather than a simple smooth flat underwater surface. Also, have a look at the ground right there. It would look very cool if there were more rocks along it, in addition tot he sand. The rocks that are made ith the terrain look the best in my opinion. Smaller ones scattered around could look very good. Also, try making the shadows a little softer. Finally, look at thte texture on the seaweed. WIth a little mure bump to it, it could look very good. Don't read this wrong, your picture is very cool, but like all others, it can be improved, and I thought you might like a detailed critique. I tend to only point out flaws, and I'm sorry in advance for that, I just know from my experience that that is the most useful form of criticism (at least to me) I really like the composition here, really brings attention to the animals. Reminds me of a time we had a hose with fresh water going into the ocean in Florida. That's one way to lure the manetees to you, for sure. Great job, hope you appriciate this comment!
