Description
it was a great day for photos - cold, clear, sunny. The sand mounds are at the shoreline - ice has pushed up the sand.

spent a few years driving from detroit to east chicago or portage, seen this lighthouse in every sort of photo, this is by far my favorite. doesn't really show off the lighthouse the way an art director would like, but it sure captures the feeling of the southern shore of lake michigan. I love the comments from people who've never considered the great lakes... yeppers, it's big big water.
