Description
Recently someone added my first picture posted here, "Shells," to thier favorite images list. It means a lot to me becouse it's one that started out as just a sketch I did when I was doing something else I did'nt want to be doing. I won't go into what it was. But it was drawn while I was daydreaming.
Whenever possible, especially whenever I'm somewhere I don't want to be, I will sketch, as an escape. I will go to the place where what I want to do, what I want to feel and what I want to create is the only thing that matters. My imagination. There's no pain or fear there. There's no anger or hatred there. There are no walls and there is no time there. No rules apply there. And that keeps me alive.

yep...i know just what you mean...it's the same with me. with imagination there's no time...you just get lost daydreaming, creating, drifting. no rules. well, there are rules in photography, but i break them all the time! art is definitely a way to escape. and there have been times in my life (a long time ago) where art was my saving grace...the only thing that got me thru. anyway, the background of this piece reminds me of an oil pastel i once did. it was blue too. timeless connections...traveling in the black hole of the our imagination...it's a whole other world. vote!
