Description

In an attempt to increase the tourist trade (and, at the same time, hopefully increase the church's enrollment AND coffers) in this sleepy little European hamlet, Brother Etienne commissioned this statue/wishing well dedicated to the ancient local pasttime of dwarf-tossing to be built. Unfortunately, the history of dwarf-tossing is a little-known one with few remaining followers AND the few coins that are left are quickly snapped up by the seagulls. The one redeeming factor is that this statue gives the aging Brother, who is suffering from failing eyesight, someone to talk to...besides the Big Guy of course '-)...on his morning prayer rounds. Thanks to rodluc for the market stalls, kaol for the ship, and DAZ! ==steve==

Ooooh, ooooh...forget that this one is dedicated to ebsmooth! Probably not what you were thinking of when you were clamoring for a dwarf-toss piccie, bro...but ya know how it is when a scene just takes on a life of it's own'-)?

Dwarf tossing? I thought they outlawed that! But no, you are building an homage to it! A fabulously detailed scene and a very humorous story to go along with it.

LOL okay my son is always talking about dwarf tossing! I think its gotta be a Fark thing... But about the pic aside from the fact I had to realize that it was a statue and there were birds, this old lady finally got the humor. Great job spider gave me a good chuckle for the day! :)
