Description

It appears almost like stone, but one touch and the piece of art is damaged. It's all loose sand and ice, and its formation is highly sensitive to exterior influences. Chaos-theory concerns mainly sensitive systems. On the edge of order and chaos dynamic systems shot very high sensitivities. It makes me think that the most stimulating societies are those on that thin line between order and chaos, where only little input can change the behaviour of the system in an unexpected profound way. Just some thoughts that whirl around some time in my mind. :) Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 70 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

It looks like some hairs standing on a bald head. Nice detail shot. Interesting colors.

I like happy surprises like the sighting a beautiful woman or the profound conclusion to a difficult mathematical derivation. I utterly abhor collisons and accidents. So it is I love to baffle the mind readers and spys by being only myself in the moment where I am utterly boring to the lover of chaos.

what a beautiful and most interesting image, Jan-Carel!!! i love looking at it and getting lost in those swirls and designs! it's like looking up into clouds and picking out all the shapes! i see a sea horse and doggie in here! also a rabbit! i love the textures, and you're absolutely right...it does look like stone in some places! your thoughts are quite fascinating! it makes me think of how there's a fine line between "genius" and "insanity." i would like to hear more of your thoughts about those societies that you mentioned. anyway, i find your image to be most beautiful and dreamy, and your commentary is quite thought provoking. The combination makes for a very interesting exploration of parallels between sand formations and society formations!! i love how you bridged the two!!! high 5s!!!!
