Description

In this picture I experimented a great deal. As you know there are a great many settings for light and color in Terragen. I tried to use these color adjustments as glazes over other colors and areas at the same time keeping a natural look in my render. I'll let you be the judge if I was successful or not. Bill

Fantastic sky & lighting. i think you should've used the WW surf plug in instead of foam for the sea, and work more your srf layers for the terrain, which looks too flat. Terrains in the shade are always more difficult to work with, since the surface layers often look too blended together, which results in a too smooth & uniform appearence.

The sea 'glistens' like gold and the sky is fantastic. Agree with bruno021 regarding the terrain surface layers. But, IMHO, this is a most beautiful render. Good work, Bill.

I thank you all for your critiques. Let me pass a long something I discovered. I found that in the advanced settings if I set the warp scale to 25 or less and the warp to a large number say 3000 or higher I get the foam scattered out over the surface like it is in nature. I had to also adjust the foam scale a little. Bill

There is a nice reflection from the sky on the water. Maybe the foam is naturally spread out in nature. Unfortunately TG doesn't convey all aspects of nature realistically. Sea foam is one of them.

Sky and water are great. Congratulations. Unfortunately, (IMHO) the terrain is poor. I suggest that you choose Generate features on existing terrain with a very small Size of features and that you keep exactly the same world file for a new render. Cheers !

The colours are lovely Bill. A very peaceful place to be I think. I love the way it looks like there is a reef under the water. Reminds me of a place I used to visit years ago.
