Description

Inspired by lucid dreaming, is this surreal and dreamlike landscape that exists halfway between dimensions 3 and 76. It is made up of some photo goodness that I've been getting into with my new digital camera (which is the most fun thing I've had in a long time now) and some painting with the Wacom.

I think when you can take something from a dream and recreate it while awake, that's the purist form of art of them all. Our dreams are where we take all the stuff we've been exposed to during the day, and mix it together in a giant blender, to produce stuff that has never seen the light of day before.

You've captured that feeling perfectly, something that isn't as easy to do as it sounds. You really have to have "been there" first and you show you really have. This feels really familiar! Strangely I've rarely even attempted to recreate something from my own lucid dreams, perhaps I should! Agree with LunarSight about the artistic purity of doing this.
