Description

On the northern continent of Inux Prime there is an very old large building constructed by an alien race. It was already discovered in the early days of human colonisation of Inux. Archeologic teams have been working there for years now, but yielded only little information. The race seemed to be a squid-like lifeform, home to a planet mostly covered with oceans. Their technological abilites seem to have been the same like mankind has today. The Outpost seems to have been once filled completely with water, but why the race has contructed it on a dry world like this is not yet known. Of big scientific interest is a kind of data crystal that was discovered there. The understanding of their data encryption and their language is at the moment sketchy at best, but it seems, that the outer colonies of them were attacked by an unkown, but powerful enemy. They got the order to abandon the outpost, return to their homeworld and enter service in their defense force. As they didn't return, they surely have lost this war. Is this another hint on the race that wipes out all races reaching a certain level of technology... is it already watching mankind... My comments: LATE CREDIT: It's very emabarassing, but i forgot to give Rich2 credit for using the Terrain he included in his tutorial about Rocks and Stones as base terrain for the city in my Alien Artifacts XI. Sche Story ... :) Terrabrush ist wirklich klasse f SF-Terrains, wie Du uns hier vortrefflich zeigst! Die Kombination der verschiedenen Surfaces geflt mir sehr gut und setzt jedes Element gut in Szene.

Great sci-fi picture again Matthias! Love the shapes of the outpost with those long shadows in the mist suggesting it's abandonned. Great terrain, POV and lighting as for all this series and the story allways add to the great mood :-) V
