Description

A morning walk through Lava Tree Park. This park contains trees that were over run with lava and were immotalized where they stood. The park contains many "Tree Molds" where hot lava formed around the trees leaving many mounds where the trees once stood. You can see a small example at the bottom middle of this image. The walkway around the park is about 1/8 of a mile on a small asphalt walkway, and so calm and peaceful in the morning. Many thanks for your kind comments and viewings of my previous votes...Aloha to all!

Yes, I remember this place. My first vacation, I went here. There were many more trees encased in lava before. Many new trees have grown now. Aloha friend.

Lava Tree Park always amazed me every since I was young. Feels like you're on a different planet with the formation of all these tree mounds. Excellent Job my friend....Aloha

Neat trivia and place--don't remember if I ever made it there. It is amazing how lush it is considering it's history! :)

Incredible how lava can kill all on its way and leave fertile soil behind where a new generation can flourish! Excellent work!
