Description
The complexity of structures of sand and ice is amazing! Under little changing circumstances the patterns are entirely different. The deep blue sky gives the snow on places without sunlight a blue appearance, contrasting with the warm brown colored sand.

what a gorgeous moment in time you captured! the colors, texture, and design make for a fascinating image! but looks like it was all changed in the blink of an eye. the wind was very strong that day and i'm guessing the landscape kept changing here. i love those "sea oats" (or whatever they are called) that are arched from the wind....dancers in the sand. Beautiful capture, Jan-Carel!
