I've been making fractal images on and off since the early 1990's, starting with Fractint, then moving to KPT Fraxplorer/Fraxflame, Ultra Fractal and Apophysis.BIOI make fractals because I love the shapes. I see fractals in everything, from clouds to flowers to ferns to cream in my coffee. I guess you could call me a 'fractalholic'.
I've been lurking at Renderosity for many years off and on, but eventually started posting some of my images to get some feedback from people. I welcome your comments, both positive and negative, so your honesty is appreciated.
Images in my gallery may be used for any non-commerical purpose, as long as they remain unaltered.
All of my images are available at higher resolutions. They're posted here at (approximately) 800x600 because that's a good size for the average person to view, as well as because I don't like overly compressing my images to fit into the 512K maximum that Renderosity imposes. If you'd like to see any of my work at a higher resolution, send me an IM with the image name and resolution you'd like, and I'll be happy to oblige.
More of my images are viewable on my personal website, Blatte's Fractals.

It's like a black hole or something that we've learned about in science class

Wonderful fractal portal, Blatte - the arcs and rays subtly tracing through that gorgeous blue atmosphere evoke a sense of power and fantasy becoming reality. Beautiful and effective!!
