Description
She hurts and is upset, so she cuts herself.
I've read about this recently and it seemed so unbelievable to me.
Usually she is from a very unhappy family and had been abused as a child.
From what I read the cuts are usually were you can't see them.
This really made me so sad.
There is help, as in any mental illness.

It happenes Leah recognize this from my teen years. There's help but sometimes you can't find it or you can't reach it and then this is a way to get out of the pain inside

Wonderfully done Leah! As someone who's dealt with friends who do this, this is just so beautiful.. Love the mood and yes, it is a sad thing and there is help, but only if the person will admit that they need it:( It's very hard to watch and even harder to deal with when it's a good friend or their child. Excellent image hon :)

I've seen quite a few cutters and most of them have them readily visible. I'm not sure if it is just an extension of this whole tattoo/piercing thing sometimes, or a sign of some deep disturbances. Mostly I suspect the latter. Great image of isolation and sadness. While I believe that we are all ultimately alone, sometimes you just have to reach out to others either to ask for help of to offer support.

I can not say that I know anyone who has done this, but who is to say I just never noticed. I know that depression and loneliness is a very horrible thing and it can lead to all sorts of behaviors and acts. So I can sort of understand, but we should lift up those who go thru this and give them the love and help they need. But I agree with squeeka that first they have to admit to the problem first. Image does portray the feeling for sure. Well done!

I used to know some one who did this it is horrible she was a very pretty well educated young woman yet she would cut herself or burn herself with cigarettes. Excellent image and message Leah

This is such a sad image. I know a girl who used to cut and a boy that still does. It is an odd cycle of pain and need.
