Description

A Nagato was critically damaged by a long range alien weapon. The pilot disconnected the cockpit from the rest of the ship and maneuvered the back part towards an incoming alien fighter. As soon as the alien was close enough, the Nagato pilot set of the self-destruct device form the cockpit, destroying the already damaged back part and the incoming alien. All 3Ds max 6 except the stars background, which is made in photoshop. Modelling is only half the fun, as soon as something's finished, you get to blow it up! http://svc.nulll-void.com

Effects are great, I am always interested in the different approaches to space craft design, would of loverd to seen more of the ship:(! "Safe Journey, Spaceman, where ever you are!"

Thanx for the comments, i'll be posting more images of the seperate ships soon, the front right one is the alien ship, which is a quite simple model, the other one, the Nagato is a bit more complex, but it's not entirely finished as i'm planning to make a hi-res version. There are some recent images in my gallery showing several Nagatos.
