The Lonely Wolf
this is one of my best works.
total: i worked 30 hours on this scene. over 405 objects and over 1'500'000 polygone. in vue4
rendered about 2 1/2h. then i made some things in paintshop better(ice, smoke,...). i have made the snow glisten.
i hope it let freeze your's blood. :-)
be careful, it is glazed frost.

This is really beautiful, VERY wintery (is that a word?) Could be a landscape here in Finland! The trees could still use a bit post work, in my opinion, the leaves with sharp edges bother me a bit ;) But all in all this is absolutely lovely!

i know the problem with the trees. vue crachs too often if i would take better trees and better trees i haven't found in the web. in the next time i try to work with alpha-textures. but thnx for the tip

Luscious. If the trees were any more realistic, the mood of this image would be spoilt. On a cold misty day like this nothing looks real.

Very beautiful!

Agree with Eowyn, also the 2 major elements, train and wolf are both in center and heading same direction, perhaps move wolf to right or have train direction reversed. That said what you've done with light and atmosphere in this is the best work i've ever scene, in Vue or any other program, it's quite painterly.
