Description

Wandering aimlessly around the various Grachts, shot a few photos. This seemed to catch the aimless part, so time to upload! -*- It's fun to edit the building photos into terrain maps, and then build the rest of the town with Bryce primitives. The first step is to roatate and distort against a rectangular grid to make the bricks and walls lose the perspective. It helps to start with a clean shot. The two buildings I made were not next to each other as shown, so don't try to find the same spot! :-) [ Later, and Ed. note ... I should mention that I spent the most time exploring Leiden, Noordvijk, Haarlem, and the Rijksmuseum, and successfully seeking the best Dutch and Indonesian food! I always remember the food, but you might like the rijksmuseum's website.] -*- Thanks for viewing and comments! Or should I say, "Dank voor het bekijken en commentaren."

Saw the picture before I realised it was yours and thought "looks like jim's" and it was. You have a unique style. Intersting picture. Holland but not quite. Maybe what Holland looks like after partaking of the number one past-time in the Netherlands. I like it!

Ziet er goed uit! Erg hollandse lucht en natuurlijk de architectuur. Petje af ook voor het zelf maken van de huisjes.

Oh, man, looks like a dream-image of Netherlands, taken from the netherworlds. Almost more real than a photo: Hyperreal! But that sky looks a bit Californicated, nicht wahr?

Man this is cool. The camera perspective is cool, makes it look like you used some fancy camera work, but I read it was 1/2 Bryce and 1/2 your clever imagination.
