Description

Something very different from me I know. But the architecture in Freo (City of Fremantle, Western Australia) is so impressive and historic, I couldnt resist. I must go back and take some more photos. Thankyou all for your lovely comments, and also for being so patient with me. As most of you know, I only have time to come online twice a week, so getting around to all the galleries is impossible. Anyways, thanks again! =)

Wowser! Such a tack sharp magazine cover. I love the lighting and tones of this building contrasted against that royal blue sky. I had to chuckle at your "Give Way" signs...here our signs look like that but say "Yeild"..same smell just different. Man this is nice..V and Favs... love that frame also ...Aloha to you!

Memories .... They all end up at Freo... nice spot... in my wild days I visited the old Freemason's Arms pub a bit..there's a boast about them selling the widest variety of beers there. I hitched over the Nullarbor Plain FRom S.A. to visit folk in WA back in 82 and a nut in a stolen car gave me a lift to Freo. He should have visited his mates at the Freo jail!!!

With the clarity on this, and how you have taken it, I would suggest many more of this style should come from you. I love architecture from different countries!

This may be very different from what we have seen and is one excellent start. Looks like you may have used a 4x5 or straightened out the perspective issues in PS. Can we look forward from you to share more architectural images? I really like this change Rachel, and if you enjoy this type of photography, it is also a very good field to get into. The hours are long and tough but worth it. Before I forget, the frame treatment is top notch! This is one for the portfolio my dear. V

this belongs in a magazine! the lighting is what i enjoy the most. for me, i find it difficult to shoot architecture, but you did it in such a way that it is very pleasing to my eyes. reminds me of slow Sunday afternoon...no one in a rush. amazing i can feel at peace here in the city!! impressive capture, Rach!

This is beautiful! Very nicely done. I do love images of architecture. I have threatened for years to tour San Francisco and take pictures of the architecture there. Sacramento too. Alas, not enough time. ;) Oh well...someday, when I'm "retired" ... if there is such a thing. Anyway, excellent work from a gorgeous young lady!

Truly a lovely image. Glad to see you do something different. Different can be good sometimes and you did just beautifully. This is a lovely little place. I really like the "give way" sign. It is kinda funny. Well done. Would love to see what else you come up with.

I removed my previous comment because, yes, as I suspected, what I saw was the result of a corrupted JPG. So I can see it clearly now and I have to admit that I quite prefer this version! |o| Great shot, dear!
