This is a very nice composition and a marvelous looking dog, very expressive - I would respectively suggest that you get lower to the ground and shoot at the dogs eye level or even lower - just what I would try - would make the composition more dramatic - still as very nice shot as is. My best regards.

hmmm dont think you can improve on this wonderful portrait youve captured his cheeky cute character.. he looks full of spirit and action.. the sweep of fur in the wind gives movement and atmosphere.. and the tone of b/w is perfect and works well in the natural sunlight... superb.. photography votee...:)

I like the way you composed this. If he had been on the right hand side it wouldn't have been as interesting to me. Love the way his ears stand up and his lips are blowing back like he's on a centrifuge!

There's a "rule" that some people spout sometimes, that says that if a subject is positioned near to the edge of the frame then he/she has to look "into" the picture, meaning looking away from the frame toward the centre. But some people can get carried away with such "rules", always having to stick to them no matter what, and it's nice to be able to break these conventions and prove the shot still works! As redbeard said it wouldn't have been as interesting if he'd been on the right hand side... your composition works so well exactly because he's positioned the way he is, it suggests he's looking at something off-camera so this adds intrigue! Well done here P :-)

I like as well teh way you've positioned him. It seems more "in motion to me" and that way I can give even deeper sense to his eyes lookin:)

The 'something' that the empty space evokes IS THE WIND... whose elements are seen in the ruffling of Sam's hair! Well done!

The unconventional composition gives this photo its final touch - the movement is soooo great! There is the original idea of a photo: a frozen moment. This photo is splendid: and the the model is wonderful! :-)
