Description

Apophysis 1 -- Apophysis 2b15 -- Ultrafractal 3.02 Hi, y'all! I got messing around with this "old friend" the a other day and decided to see if I couldn't make it a little better. This is one of the very first flames I ever made - the 15th to be precise - and I never found one like it again. I mainly worked on the bright star that is the starchild's destination. I added a masked flame behind it for more rays and color - it's actually the background flame for my "Lost in Space, Too" image with the big orange "star" situated behind the original UF star. I also added some SFBM "clouds" around the star, too, and repositioned the starfield so that the two bright stars near the big guy aligned with one of the rays to give it a sorta lens flare vibe. Here's a link to the original image: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=392594&Start=55&Artist=Rykk&ByArtist=Yes - If you'd like to compare - let me know if this is an improvement or not, ok? It's starting to grow on me some. I think the new version makes the star seem closer and the starchild is closer to her destination. Hmmm - maybe I should call this version "Friday" since that is very close to the weekend - the best destination! lol Thanks so much for stopping by to check out this tweak and also for all of the wonderful support y'all have given me for so long on my works! Rick

It's wonderful to see this lovely one again! Beautiful enhancements. The subtle changes are perfect! I like the balance the lighter top right section adds to the overall image :)

Phenomenal, as usual, Rick! Before I read the title, I thought "So, that's how a planet is born!" Incredible work!

I think this is an improvement in the balance of the image. The greater brightness and flares from the big star seem to make this more uniform. Brilliant work!

They are both very beautiful. I kind of like this one a little better. Like Jack said, it gives it a little more balance and the additional color adds more interest.
