BIO
I've been married 17 happy years. I've actually been married 23 yrs, but about 17 have really been happy. =^}
I have twin girls just out of high school.
During the day, I am a Certified Engineer specializing in new construction for my local State Highway Dept. In the evenings I do some web design for the locals : http://www.gratrgraphics.com
I started messing with Terragen, but saw fractals posted and fell in love. Picked up Apophysis and became an immediate addict. The images that I render are a little eclectic, but hey...I like them. Hope y'all do also.
I have also written a tutorial for Apophysis:
Creating and Saving Custom Gradient Packs in Apophysis
You can find it under the Fractal section of the tutorial link at the top of the page or you can view it at it's alternate site:

I think it a very good abstraction Gary, like how you balanced it with the black area to the right...let's see more!

I really like this line of work. You don't need to get complicated all the time to achieve good results. The bronze-like shape really goes well with the background design. Very pleasant to look at!! Agree with Chris...more PLEASE!!

I like it!! Very unique.

Cool abstraction, Gary. The gold against that magenta background is very striking.

Don't put yourself down, this is gorgeous work! Love the colouring and the changes of direction who create a lovely tension in this image. Excellence!!
rocserum
a daring and well chosen gradient, agree with rngoerner, beautyful abstract. RS

Gary, Let me say this! May all your first tries, be this great! This is beautiful. It has beautiful balance, the background is hot and sets off the image itself. You are probably too young to have ever seen liquid mercury, but except for the color, that is what the image reminds me of. It has a flow and sense of movement! You should be extremely proud of this artwork! Oh, and the gold coloring is perfect, very warm color! Leanndra

TOtal excellence and I almost missed it...phew! This is one of the best Apo abstracts I've ever seen, you've done a magnificent job with the color and texture elements here. And those aren't always very easy to achieve on Apophysis. Great, wonderful piece of art!
