Description

Lady Gaia, the soul of our planet, is a character that I like to play with in my art as well as imagination. There really is so much potential to her, because she is almost all that our lives are based upon. This painting is an attempt to explore the ideas of interconnectivity, natural cycles, slowly merging into infinity. Tools: Corel Painter 8, Trust tablet. Time taken: around 2 weeks or so. Size: 5400x3900. *Please* check out the detail shots - there's SO much lost in resizing that you're missing half the painting without checking the close-ups. The sad part is that the starfield mostly gets lost upon resizing, and I've no idea how to help that. :\ Detail - butterflies Detail - dolphins/water Detail - face Detail - lotus Detail - spots/butterflies Detail - torso Update: available as desktop wallpaper over here. 1280x1024. You managed to capture everything you wanted to. She is amazingly powerful yet peaceful and timeless. The detail in the close ups is amazing as well. Beautiful work!

This is probably one of my absolute favorites by you! You've captured so much,and the details just completely blow me away. I've tried many times to come up with a way to make an image of Gaia, but this is beyond anything I could dream. Fantastic work! V
