Description

This is my second attempt at simulating fluffly clouds using spheres with volumetric mats (rendertimes are long with volumetric mats). My first attempt was a failure, I'm fairly satisfied with this one. Clouds and castle made in Bryce, some postwork in Photoshop. Iv'e added a screenshot of the wireframes: CLICK HERE

Wow.....Fantastic clouds work!! The best cloudwork I've ever seen come out of Bryce. I like the castle and the lighting is great. Congratulations Alvin! V

This is why you are up for AOM. Clouds turned out really nice. I have yet to mess with them much. Great colors reflecting on the clouds too. Damn nice work again Alvin.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I have added a screenshot of the wirframes up there. The materials I used are directly derived from a default Volumetric material called "Fuzzy Clouds", I changed it of course for variation.

This is unbelievable that you can have so many volume spheres in one picture. How is it that they do not interact with each other? Do any of them overlap?

I tried not to overlap any of them but alas some overlapped causing some strange artifacts. Thank goodness for Photoshop :)

I hear ya.. Hard to count how many times I've tried the &^%$* volumetrics, usually leading to unexpected results after a protracted render. This one is truly specacular!

Naku!!! ang ganda nito!! hindi ko pa na subukan ang volumetric mats pero sa nakita ko parang gusto kong gawin agad! galeng mo pare!! anyway salamat sa comment mo sa previous upload ko.. uwi kana dito! :) papalapit na ang summer.. cgi pare Gob bless! :))
