Love the architecture Ken great photo. I wonder...any idea what caused the erosion of the surface of the building around the door. This wasn't an effect of the Halifax explosion by any chance? I always look forward to your photos and it's nice to see a subject that is outside the realm of the automobile. That's why I like this site you so thoughtfully recommended.

The modern glass door makes this old stone fort seem very inviting. Water can rise in a column to 32 feet but for some reason wicks to less than four. Perhaps it is a solid or crystalline phenomenon.
