Description

I've been working on it on and off for five months in photoshop and painter. It's 4300x7000pixels at 300dpi and my only serious expose3 submission, as I've been low on inspiration and time lately. I am non religious nowadays, so I wasn't trying to make an icon that christians specifically can relate to. So it's not necessarily Jesus on the cross. I was more trying to depict the horror of people who are feeling punished by society due to being different. So it's a painting about selfish me. I am transsexual after all. the right arm of the cross is longer to make the figure's waist permanently twisted to the right, in the hope that I'm adding to his torment. I'm not touching it again, I hope you like it. DEDICATED TO Melania, Bev, Cassie and Jim! thank you for your patience. kisses, christina

Every time I think I have something to say, I look back up, then in a couple seconds I decide it's completely wrong & try to think of something else. I guess I've got nothing. I can only say I think this rocks!

yea this does remind me of a dali painting also the one where the crusifixation in floating up in the heavens above while the crowd on the ground looking up at it. led me to wonder if chris was looking down on us while we were looking up to him

My old art teacher and friend always said to me that all great artists had to suffer before they became great artists. The level of greatness (to create not be famous although it often goes hand in hand) is in direct relation to depth of suffering they have done. He said this tunes the mind into thoughts that others don't have. Hope your well? and your work is great!

Dont need to be different that much to get a misfit at all. A different kind of sex is one thing people enjoy just soooo much to denounce over and over and over again, assume since - 10000000 before Herbert the rat (I am sure you know this date as the definite consideration of Jesus birthday LOL). Stay strong and the way you are Chris! Hugs!
