This is the first time I used home-made textures and mappings on a model I made myself. I'm just a beginner so please leave some advice behind! :)

I think this is great work for a beginer! Is this nurbs? I've been using max for about half a year now and haven't touched nurbs yet. Your textures are pretty cool, I espesially like the eyes. I think the skin could use a bump map for the little dots that are all over him but other then that this is a really decent model/character.

No, this is just a poly-mesh. I build the model from a cube. I think NURBS are great coz of the control level, you don't have that kinda control with PolyMeshes. But it's a simple and effective way to model characters! I'm going to add the bumpmap today. I think I'll make a cool environment, and post a V 2.01 ;)
