As I bend to take my clothes from the dryer I feel a cold prickles of fear snake along my spine. Turning slowly, I peer across the half darkened basement toward the doorway of a small room just under the front of the building. He stands there in the deep shadows leaning against the door frame. A dark frown, an angry glowering look is on his face. I see the wall behind him through his body. I scream in fright and he disappears as suddenly as he had appeared. Then I realize that I've just seen a H'aint. Spooky, huh? Well this is an image and story based on our resident H'aint. Now I don't know why some folks call them that but I do because after having the bejabbers scared out of me a few times by them, I decided no more! I told my mom and family that H'aint gonna make me run (Haunt ain't)... Lol. He nearly scared my sister out of her hide yesterday. She's been coming over to help me pack and the basement needed some cleaning. She went down ahead of me to start and he was in the doorway again.
