Description

Photography does not lie, but it can 'arrange' the truth. My series on the church in Aigle was designed to emphasise the beauty of the building and the area. This picture gives another perspective (DELMUR will be a big fan!). But this picture is also nothing but a partial truth as the zoom lens compresses perspective and gives the (false) impression that the church is nearly in the industrial zone. My sincere thanks for your support. ***** La photo ne ment pas mais elle sait

It's nice to be in a city that still has some unspoiled areas. Nice perspective on the subject!

Je suis d'accord avec Delmur complement : -) Your comparisons are magnificent. But your photograph is also most excellent and may also be telling us our future :-( Bravo!

The church sits almost in defiance of the modern world. Brings the viewer back to earth...grounded Progress is not always good............

For perverse reason I think this is my favourite of your series. It is honest, is very dramatic, and the DOF to get your point across is simply brilliant. I'm a big fan of 'compressed' landscapes, they communicate lots of information in one frame, pull you into the image so you are more 'part of it', & generally make the brain work just that little bit harder. Into my favourites! Congrats Steve.

Okay... I prefer the photographies which you have taken from the opposite direction... nevertheless such industrial deserts are good for stunning pictures
