Description

Sometimes I just like to rework some of my older images because I've aquired new skills since the original was done. This was reworked from my "Sierra Nevada" image, inspired by the paintings of Albert Bierstadt. This file has always been my personal favorite, and it's only 57MB. Constructive criticism is welcome. Bryce 5 render, Poser and some Photoshop enhancements. Thanks you, Mario.

Wow, gorgeous scene! I live the Sierra's, go through Toulumne every year, makes this image rock so much harder. Also, that altitude texture on the closer hills is perfect. V

Constructive criticism????? What's that when talking of this particular piece. Terrain, folige, atmosphere, and figures all outstandingly done. Only constructive criticism I might have is to make a copy of this with a canvas texture to give it more of a painting look and feel, but I realy must say its outstanding just the way it is.

An outstanding render and beautifully composed. The only doubt I would have is with teh very low clouds - they are too well defined and would benefit from being mistier. That little niggle apart, this is a very fine piece of work.

Something tells me you like the work of Albert Bierstadt. Are those mountains in the extreme distance made with lattices, or are they photos? Very good work
