Was a great pleasure for me to read the fantastic comments to my previous posting "Winter evening II".
This one I have taken last weekend on a trip to the Blackwood Forest, after sundown. Yes... the winter finally has also reached South Germany... Last night we have had (in Bavarian)temperatures of minus 43

I saw rarely such a fantastic light! A strong contrast: the sky seems warm, the temperature is very cold, that gives an especially atmosphere, well done.

My goodness thats cold! Here in summer it gets to 43 degrees (above zero) on occasions, and thats hot, so I bet -43 is really freezing! The colours in the sky are so beautiful, brilliant compo, I love silhouette trees! Gorgeous winter scene =)

Yes, it is really cold here in the Black Forest! But if that leads to such excellent captures such as this, I won't ever complain :-)! (although it would be very nice if it could start getting a lot warmer soon!)

This series of pictures have been brilliant, looking at this one I can hear my footsteps crunching as I walk along, thinking of a warm fire and glwein! ... but enjoying the cold and the sunset.
