Sleep my dear Friend.
Go run and play among the flowers and trees of a world where I cannot follow.
Go run and play among new and old friends.
Sleep my dear Friend.
May your dreams be of those happy days: you and I, the shadow of one another.
Sleep my dear Friend.
Do not fret.
I cannot stay in this new world you are going to but I can stay by your side.
By your side through your journey and recall together all our shared moments.
I can soothe your passage across the darkness into your new home.
I am here, holding your paw, caressing your sweet face.
Close your eyes now my dear Friend.
The time has come.
No I cannot follow you there.
I will let go, let go of your warm body and your bright sparkly eyes.
Here I will say good bye.
I will let you go to be happy and healthy once again.
I cannot follow.
Sleep my dear Friend.
One day we shall be reunited.
